On average, guns kill or wound 276 people every day in America. Of those shot, about 75 adults and nine children die.
That adds up to just over 100,000 victims of gun violence a year. The rate of firearm murders in the United States is about 16 times that in Australia and 26 times that in Britain.

Even taking into account disparities of population (US approx. 300,000,000, UK approx. 51,000,000 AU approx. 21,000,000) these numbers are way out of line. With 14 times the population of AU and only 6 times the population of the UK. Sad.

I know you’re being sarcastic sweetie. I was replying to the original poster more than anything else.
fucking using “you’re” as an intellectual version of “your”. same shitheads who use “whom” instead of “who,” “it’s” instead of “its,” and never end their sentences in prepositions.
…
fucking pretentious faggots.
Err the only problem with this whole idea is that “you’re” has a different definition than “your”. Same goes for “it’s” and “its”. You may have a small point with “whom” & “who”, but otherwise your argument makes no sense. It’s like saying I should say blue when I mean red.
Also, I don’t think it’s pretentious at all to actually want to make sure people understand you. But maybe you’re just being sarcastic….
Who do I have to fuck
to get laid around here? C’mon man.
From the site:
“This latest installment in decades of flaky astronomical apocalypse predictions is loosely based on the Mayan calendar that marks the end of a 5,126-year era. Apparently the Mayans knew something about the heavens we don’t, according to numerous hot-selling 2012 doomsday books on the market. Our multi-billion dollar telescopes, space probes, and 6,000 professional astronomers somehow just can’t keep up with the mystic knowledge of an ancient superstitious culture.”

“An interesting tale about many ancient peoples living in the Middle East. Kind of hard to follow at times, and seems to contradict itself more than once. Very stilted read, almost as if it was written by many different people who forgot to meet and discuss what the final gestalt of the book should be. Not recommended for children, as there is much violence and inappropriate subject matter, including (but not limited to): incest, rape and child abuse. 3 Stars”
